The Valentin Gerth Cabin, located in Greeley, Kansas, is known as the home first white settler in Anderson County and dates to 1856. The cabin was also used as a slave hideout. The original cabin was moved from it's original site and to its present location on the south side of Greeley and restored by the Anderson County Historical Society. It is now available for tours.
